Great question! If you’re overwhelmed with anxiety and challenging emotions, find it difficult to heal past trauma or you struggle in your relationships unable to set healthy boundaries, it may be a sign that it’s time to seek therapy. Working with a therapist can empower you to take control of your emotional well-being and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships with self & others.
-
Absolutely! Many people fear starting therapy for various reasons. The fear of the unknown or just being vulnerable are common feelings that may emerge. Rest assured that you are not alone on this journey and in our work together, you’ll be in a safe, non-judgmental space where your feelings and experiences will be valued and heard.

Faith-based therapy incorporates biblical principles alongside evidence-based techniques. It respects and integrates your spiritual beliefs into the healing process, offering a unique approach tailored to Christians.
You may be wondering, “will I have to talk about my faith in every session?” The answer is only if you want to! Faith-based therapy is guided by your comfort level. Some clients prefer to integrate scripture and prayer, while others focus more on emotional healing. It’s entirely up to you!
-
While prayer is powerful, God often works through people as vessels to bring about healing. Therapy provides a space to process emotions and experiences, which can deepen your relationship with God.

Each 50-minute session focuses on uncovering and addressing the root causes of your emotional struggles. We’ll also explore how past trauma is affecting your current life and relationships. Between sessions, you’ll complete tailored follow-up tasks such as brain dumping/journaling, mood trackers, and personalized resources to help you integrate the work we do together.

This is a great question that I often get asked! Every healing journey is unique and client specific. Therapy is not a one-size fits all process and can be either a short-term or long-term basis. With consistent effort, most clients typically begin seeing changes within a few sessions. Getting to the root cause of anxiety and healing trauma involves peeling back layers of emotional patterns, and progress is often seen via emotional regulation, improved communication, and healthier relationships over time as we work together. I always say, “trust the process”.

While we are not currently in network with any insurance company, we can help you get reimbursed if you have out-of-network benefits by providing a Superbill (itemized receipt) to submit to your provider.
If you aren’t sure if you have out of network benefits, call your insurance company (the number is usually located on the back of your insurance card) and ask the following questions:
Does my plan provide out-of-network coverage for mental health office visits?
If so, what is my deductible?
What percentage of my upfront benefits do you reimburse?
What is the process for getting reimbursed?
How quickly will I get reimbursed?
In many cases, people are surprised to learn that after reimbursement, their out-of-network costs are the same or only slightly more than their in-network co-pay.
Enrolling in an out-of-network insurance plan may give you more flexibility in finding a therapist. You may consider exploring available out-of-network options during your employer’s next open enrollment period.
Please know that health insurance companies require you to be diagnosed with a mental health diagnosis, so that they can justify paying for your services. Not everyone who seeks therapy qualifies for a mental health diagnosis.
To have complete control over the therapeutic journey, clients may prefer self pay for increased levels of confidentiality.
If you are not sure what route to take, this can be discussed during your consultation.

We accept all major credit cards, and Flexible Spending Accounts for payment. Payment is due at the time services are rendered.

If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, you must notify me at least 24 business hours in advance. If such advance notice is not received, you will be financially responsible for the session you missed. Please note that insurance companies do not reimburse for missed sessions.
-
I understand that there may be factors preventing you from beginning your therapeutic journey right now. For those reasons, I have created two journals to be utilized as self-help resources outside of therapy to support you until you are ready! Purchase yours today on my website.
